Explore the Fascinating World of Radios, Radar and More at the National Electronics Museum

Located within minutes of the Arbors at Arundel Preserve, the National Electronics Museum offers a wide variety of both permanent and interactive displays, covering topics from telegraph and radio to radar and satellites. There are nine permanent exhibitions, including an Underseas Gallery about the fundamentals of underwater sound transmission and a Cold War Gallery with a U.S. Navy shipborne fire-control radar.

The museum also hosts a variety of exciting events throughout the year, such as Robot Fest in April, an annual event for anyone interested in the creative use of technology. Another favorite is the Electronica Music Fest in November, a day of knob twisting, pitch bending, wiring mazes, and sound shaping with some of the area’s most exciting and innovative electronic musical performers.

The National Electronics Museum is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
